Allison Brooks Janney is an American actress who was born the 19th of November 1959. Her performances on screen and the stage have garnered praise throughout the course of her three-decade-long career. Janney has been honored with numerous awards including her Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. She has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards were also handed out to her. She also received nominations of the two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston and was raised in Dayton (Ohio). The award was for a pursue a degree in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following her graduation from Kenyon College. Janney began her TV debut in 1999 playing C. J. Cregg who played the character in NBC's drama series The West Wing (1999 to The West Wing from 1999 to) and won four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her role on her role in the Showtime drama Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress in the Drama Series. Janney has been nominated for the prestigious six Primetime Emmy Awards, and she won twice the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Series.
